The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency Director-General, Dr. Bashir Jamoh, has received praise from the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria, headed by Comrade (Prince) Adewale Adeyanju, for donating two utility vehicles to the union.
According to Independent News, one 18-seater Toyota Hiace bus and a Toyota Hilux are among the vehicles which were delivered to the Union at the agency’s office.
On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, in Apapa, Lagos, with some of his executives present, the vehicles were presented to the union’s President-General, Comrade Adeyanju, in an impressive handing-over ceremony.
According to the Union, this action by NIMASA, led by Dr. Jamoh’s inspirational vision, will not only strengthen the Agency and the union’s relationship but will further promote industrial growth, harmony, and development in the sector.
In fact, Dr. Jamoh has thoughtfully expanded the Agency’s outreach to the union regarding social corporate responsibility. It is noteworthy that NIMASA has shown its responsiveness and dedication to extending Corporate Social Responsibility to stakeholders in the maritime sector with this extremely uncommon huge step.
This action has consistently pushed Dr. Jamoh’s NIMASA, much to the satisfaction of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria’s membership, to the top of the union’s leadership agenda.
The Union will continue to cooperate constructively with NIMASA in the industry in the belief that this action will always improve the operational network of the union and its members. The union, however, is sincerely pleading with God to keep the NIMASA henchmen in good health enmeshed in longevity, may his dynamic qualities of leadership see him through all the tenures of his office.
