After 11 days earth quake rocked Turkey and Syria, death toll is said to have passed 45,000.
As at Friday, three survivors were rescued from the rubbles.
According to Reuters, Mosques around the world on Friday performed absentee funeral prayers for the dead in Turkey and Syria, many of whom could not receive full burial rites given the enormity of the disaster.
Report has it that international rescue teams have started vacating the quake zone while domestic teams continue in the search through flattened buildings on Saturday, hoping to find more survivors who defied the odds.
Experts believe that most rescues occur during 24 hours of earth quake.
One of the survivors named Mustafa Avci, who on a video call with parents was shown his new born baby. His father expressed that he could not believe anyone could survive such a quake from what he saw.
“I had completely lost all hope. This is a true miracle. They gave me my son back. I saw the wreckage and I thought nobody could be saved alive from there,” said Avci’s father.
Avci was later reunited with his wife Bilge and daughter Almile at a hospital in Mersin.
