Embattled Manchester City and France Player, Benjamin Mendy, has been cleared by a United Kingdom Court of of six counts of rape and one of sexual assault.
The jury of seven men and four women issued unanimous verdicts on Wednesday, with one juror being released early for medical reasons.
Mendy and his companion Matturie were accused of raping and sexually assaulting women at the player’s home in Prestbury, Cheshire, as well as in a Manchester flat.
Prosecutors informed the jurors Mr Mendy was a “predator” who made pursuing women for sex a game.
Reacting to the development, Manchester City said in a statement, “Given the outstanding matters relating to this case, the club is not in a position to comment further at this time.”
