German side, Bayern Munich on Saturday evening suffered a three goals to one defeat against league side Mainz.
Senegalese forward, Sadio Mane had given the league leaders the lead in the 29th minute, however Mainz pulled off an incredible comeback to beat Bayern Munich 3-1 and blow the Bundesliga title race wide open.
With the result, Bayern Munich have just one win in their last six in all competitions, including being dumped out of both the DFB Pokal and the UEFA Champions League.
Also with the loss, Borussia Dortmund has now overtaken Bayern Munich on the league table.
Dortmund defeated Eintracht Frankfurt by four goals to nil to go a point clear on the league table.
