Former Marlian Records signee, Idowu Smart Emmanuel, popularly known as Lil Smart, has raised concerns about his safety after making startling allegations against British-Nigerian singer and songwriter Azeez Adeshina Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and Oniyide Azeez, better known as Zinoleesky.
The ex-Marlian dancer took to social media to share his ordeal, displaying bruises he claimed were inflicted during the incident.
Lil Smart accused Naira Marley and Zinoleesky of orchestrating his abduction and assault.
He alleged that they, along with others referred to as “INN” and “MMP,” took him into a secluded area where he narrowly escaped death.
According to his account, they stripped him naked and attempted to break his legs with stones.
He also claimed his valuables, including his wallet containing $300 and his house key, were stolen.
In a series of posts, he described the harrowing experience “I escaped death today. NAIRA MARLEY & ZINOLEESKY kidnapped me, then sent his Bois INN & MMP and took me into a bush Where They naked me and wanted to break my both legs with stones but as God with me, I somehow escaped and ran into the express road naked before a Good Samaritan picked me on the expressway half naked. My properties are still with them. I have pictures and video evidence after all this.”
He also added, “They naked me, took my skate, my necklace, my wallet containing $300 and my trousers which my house key [was in]. I had a chance to run away but naked in the express.”
Lil Smart urged the public to hold Naira Marley and Zinoleesky accountable if anything happens to him, saying, “If anything happens to me, missing or killed, know it is both NAIRA MARLEY & ZINO.”
The dancer shared pictures and videos as evidence of the incident, appealing for justice and protection.
This is not the first time Naira Marley has been in the spotlight for alleged assault and mistreatment. He was implicated in the death of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as MohBad. However, Naira Marley claimed that they were in the process of resolving their issues before the tragic passing of the ‘Peace’ hitmaker.
MohBad passed away on Tuesday, September 12, at the age of 27.
The late singer, a former member of the Marlian Music label, had made several accusations, including claiming that he was attacked by gangs allegedly sent by his former boss, Naira Marley, and his associate, Samson Eletu, also known as Sam Larry.
In response to these accusations, Naira Marley issued a statement on his Instagram, acknowledging there were problems between them, but asserting that things never escalated to the extent that many have suggested.
“Permit me to categorically state that I have no hand in the death of Ilerioluwa either directly or indirectly. It is not unusual in the industry, like in several industries, to have family friction, even amongst blood relatives.
“Truly, we had our share of misunderstandings whilst working together, but the disagreement between us was never to the extent being painted by some hirelings.
“It never degenerated to the extent of wishing each other death. Even at that, we were resolving our business dispute legally before he had passed,” the statement read in part.
