Premier League side, Leeds United, have fired their manager, Jesse Marsch, before the crucial double-legged derby against Manchester United.
Punch Metro reports that the American was showed the exit door after a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.
Marsch’s sack was confirmed in an official statement released by the Premier League side on Monday.
“We would like to thank Jesse and his backroom staff for their efforts and wish them well for the future.
“The process of appointing a new head coach is underway and we will continue to keep supporters up to date throughout the coming days,” the club said.
Marsch joined the club in February 2022 and was instrumental in keeping the club in the EPL on the final day of last season.
Leeds who currently sit 17th on the Premier League log with 18points will face an in-form United side twice in the space of four days, beginning with a clash at Old Trafford on Wednesday before the return fixture at Elland Road on Sunday.
