The Lagos State University has launched an innovative platform, “LASU Talkspace,” to support e-conferences, e-meetings, and e-seminars.
Developed by the Directorate of Information and Communication Technology under the leadership of Professor Toyin Enikuomehin, the app is positioned as a reliable and secure alternative to widely used virtual tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.
According to The PUNCH, a statement from DICT, “The LASU Talkspace App has been approved by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, and is now available for use by both the university community and the public.”
The statement further explained that staff members of LASU could access the app at no cost by using their official LASU staff email addresses.
However, members of the general public would need to subscribe to the service and pay fees based on the chosen category.
“This initiative highlights our commitment to leveraging technology to build a more connected and collaborative academic environment,” the statement added.
