A massive fire that engulfed the Christ Embassy Church headquarters in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos State, on Sunday has been successfully brought under control.
The Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, in a statement said the fire has been dampened down, and property salvage is ongoing.
According to her,the operation involved a collaborative effort from all key stakeholders, and fortunately, there were no casualties or fatalities, contrary to earlier reports.
The statement reads, “The massive fire has been brought under control and dampening down is ongoing, with monitored property salvage.
“The operation involved all key stakeholders. The building will be subject to materials testing. There were no casualties or mortality despite any reports to the contrary. No further updates.”
