A Lagos based business and technology expert, Scott C. Eneje, has disclosed that Lagos expected to take the lead in producing the next batches of developers turn startup founders and creating products in major areas like retail technology, virtual reality, augmented reality, real estate, and entertainment technology..
Eneje disclosed this while speaking on the future of Lagos State in technology advancements.
In his prediction, he declared that 2024 would see Lagos State producing more innovators and developers in the area of technology.
He said, “there is the emergence of successful unicorns and the global market interest in the African continent increasing, with Lagos expected to take a more centre stage in producing the next batches of developers turn startup founders, creating products in major areas like retail technology, virtual reality, augmented reality, real estate, and entertainment technology.”
Eneje stated further that changes in technology have made it more possible for more creators, developers and designers to have access to creating their own community, which resulted in creating a competitive economy in areas of innovation and several product launches which Lagos can benefit from in the future.
The technology expert, while noting that Lagos has a lot in its archives in areas of digital and creative innovations, he explained that opportunities such as cross-sector networking events would offer traditional creators will take advantage of technology to not just retain relevance, but improve market share and competency.
He said Lagos is in the frontline for innovation in Nigeria because it gave room for multiple talents to come up and grow with access to global market with spirited resourcefulness.
