The Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board,Mr. Abdulrahman Lekki, has passed away.
His death was confirmed on Wednesday in a statement issued by the Lagos State Head of Service.
The announcement read, “With total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, the Head of Service announces the sudden demise of Mr. Abdulrahman Lekki, Executive Secretary, Lagos State Scholarship Board, which occurred in the early hours of today, 30th October, 2024, after a brief illness.”
Mr. Lekki, who played a pivotal role in advancing educational opportunities for Lagos State students through his leadership of the scholarship board, was known for his dedication to youth empowerment and access to education. His unexpected passing has left a significant void in the Lagos educational community.
Funeral arrangements will be made public in due course, the statement continued.
The Head of Service offered heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. “May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
