The Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education has announced the release of the 2024 Placement Test results for Primary Six pupils, which were determined by Continuous Assessment Scores.
The results mark the transition of students to public junior secondary schools for the 2024/2025 academic session.
In a statement issued by the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Adebayo Orunsolu, it was confirmed that schools can now access their students’ results through the Lagos State Examinations Board portal.
Orunsolu emphasized the convenience of this process, stating, “Schools are required to log in with their default username and password provided during the registration process to print the results starting from Monday, 2nd September, 2024.
This will help eliminate the delays previously experienced.”
The statement noted that both public and approved private primary schools can now access and print their pupils’ results online, reducing the need to physically visit the Board.
This development aims to streamline the process and ease the burden on schools.
Orunsolu also stressed the state’s commitment to inclusive education, reaffirming the policy that “No child should be left behind.”
He added that all pupils who passed the test, regardless of whether they attended public or private schools, will be treated equally during placement.
Additionally, private primary schools that participated in the examination are required to submit their results to the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board to ensure their successful candidates are included in the first list for admission into government public junior secondary schools.
