The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into circumstances surrounding the death of a passenger in a Bolt car.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, this was stated by the Command’s Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, on Wednesday.
Hundeyin revealed that the Bolt driver reported the passing of the young man at the Ilasan Police Division on Monday.
The driver had received an order from the customer to take him from Osapa London, near Jakande, to the Ikate area of Lekki.
The PPRO explained that the driver claimed while in transit, the deceased screamed and shouted “my heart.”
“The customer was rushed to a hospital at Jakande 1st Gate, and later to another hospital in Lekki, where he was pronounced dead,” he said.
Police operatives visited the hospital, photographed the body and contacted members of his family.
The corpse has been deposited at the Infectious Diseases Hospital mortuary at Marina for preservation and autopsy.
