The Chairman, Oto Awori Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Musibau Asafa, has doled out N200,000 each to over 500 residents as palliative.
Speaking at the gathering, Asafa stressed that this is in continuation of the earlier distribution of foodstuff given to residents on August 15, where he promised to continue to give succour at intervals to cushion effects of the subsidy removal.
A beneficiary, Mrs Abigail Shodeke, expressed gratitude to the chairman for extending his hand of fellowship to her at this time of hardship.
The 500 beneficiaries were selected across five wards.
This is coming in fulfilment of his promise that his administration will do everything possible to put smiles on the faces of the residents.
He had presented a 500 KVA transformer to Ibassa Kekere , Community Development Association, lyana Era two years ago at the Council Secretariat in ljanikin.
In another development, the Council Boss also presented a N500,000.00 cheque from the Lagos State Government to Alasia Community Development Association.
This assistance, he said, was to support this CDA for the then on-going projects at the Year 2021 Community Day that was held at the Police College, lkeja on the 21st of December, 2021.
