Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has facilitated the construction and rehabilitation of several key roads in Ikorodu, enhancing connectivity and improving infrastructure within the district.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by his media aide, Enitan Olukotun, the roads undergoing construction and rehabilitation include the 1.2km Dagbolu Road in Majidun, 1.2km Agunfoye Road in Igbogbo, and 1.2km Ojokoro Road in the Agric area of Ikorodu West LCDA.
Additionally, Olukotun highlighted the ongoing reconstruction of the 32-km Ikorodu-Itokin Road, a crucial route linking multiple communities and towns within the senatorial district.
He also noted that work is progressing on Ibu-Owo and Jalajugbo roads, which are at different stages of completion.
“These roads, once completed, will significantly ease transportation challenges, reduce travel time, and enhance economic activities in the respective communities,” Olukotun stated.
Looking ahead, the next set of roads scheduled for development includes Apena Jimbo, Nurudeen Owolabi, and GRA 2, further reinforcing Senator Abiru’s commitment to addressing infrastructure deficits and fostering sustainable growth across Lagos East.
During a visit by Abiru’s team, led by Olukotun, residents of Ojokoro and Dagbolu expressed appreciation for the senator’s dedication to infrastructure development.
They also acknowledged his contributions to education, healthcare, electricity, sports, and youth empowerment in the area, citing his support in providing schools, hospitals, ambulances, medical equipment, transformers, stadia, markets, and youth centers.
