England defender Kyle Walker has earned a spot in the European Championship Team of the Tournament, with six players from the champion Spain squad also making the list.
Joining Walker in the defensive lineup are Switzerland’s Manuel Akanji, France’s William Saliba, and Spanish left-back Marc Cucurella.
The goalkeeping position is filled by France’s Mike Maignan.
The midfield is exclusively Spanish, featuring Rodri, Dani Olmo, and Fabián Ruiz.
Germany’s Jamal Musiala, who tied with Olmo as one of the tournament’s top scorers with three goals, is positioned alongside Nico Williams and 17-year-old Lamine Yamal in the forward line. Williams netted the first goal in the final against England, while Yamal’s long-range goal in the semifinal against France played a crucial role in their victory.
Rodri, a Manchester City midfielder, was named Player of the Tournament, while Yamal received the Young Player of the Tournament award.
Walker, also a Manchester City player, is the only individual to be named in both the Euro 2020 and this year’s Team of the Tournament.
