Popular musician and the leading Nigerian Fuji singer, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, has been conferred with a new Yoruba traditional title, the ‘Olori Omooba’ of Ijebu land.
The ace musician who was conferred with the title, by the Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, during the 2023 Ojude Oba in Ijebu Ode on Friday, June 30, 2023, is from Ojushagbola royal family of the town.
The last person that held the title was the founder of the First City Monument Bank, the late Chief Olasubomi Balogun, who died in London, United Kingdom in May, this year.
However, congratulatory messages have been pouring in for the new Olori Omooba of Ijebu, from fans and well-wishers, all over the world.
