Filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has hinted at the possibility of including Afrobeat sensation Ayo Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, in an upcoming movie, exciting his fans with the news.
Sharing a photo of himself and Wizkid on his X page on Monday, Afolayan asked, “Do you people want a Wizkid film? Need or Keep?”
Following the film producer’s hint, fans enthusiastically expressed their approval in the comment section. This buzz coincided with Wizkid’s recent indication that he might prolong his musical hiatus for six years, expressing his interest in venturing into acting.
Wizkid also shared on his Instagram story on Monday, said, “Loving every bit of this holiday. Might extend to 6 years. Shebi I tell una I wan dey act film…I just wan dey kiss and shoot gun for movie. Daz all!!”
PUNCH METRO reported that Wizkid on the 5th of November had announced his intention to take a hiatus from music, planning to take a break lasting four to five years.
