Travis Barker, the Blink-182 drummer and husband of Kourtney Kardashian has been diagnosed with pancreatitis.
According to TMZ, Barker was rushed to the West Hills hospital in the company of his wife, Kourtney, near their home, Tuesday before he was later carried by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Travis’ daughter, Alabama, posted and deleted a picture of her dad in the hospital while he rested in a hospital bed.
The Blink-182 drummer was evidently in pain during this ordeal, as he tweeted “God save me” on his official Twitter account.
Travis and Kourtney have been married for just over a month … and she’s been by his side through his hospital stay.
Pancreatitis, the disease Travis is battling is an inflammation of the pancreas — and includes symptoms like nausea, intense stomach pain and vomiting.
In Travis’s case, colonoscopy triggered his pancreatitis, doctors attending to him believed.
Acute pancreatitis is often caused by inordinate consumption of alcohol and gallstones. Gallstones cause inflammation of your pancreas as stones pass through and get stuck in the bile or pancreatic duct.
While there is no cure for chronic pancreatitis, the related pain and symptoms can be managed.
