Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has considered signing Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane the club’s top target to replace Mohamed Salah.
This was made known by the UK Mirror.
Salah had attracted strong interest from the Saudi Pro League in the summer. But the Premier League side rejected all offers for the Egypt international.
However, they are expected to return with a bigger offer in the new year, after Liverpool rejected £150 million from Al-Ittihad.
Klopp expects Salah to leave and Sane has already been lined up as a replacement.
Liverpool is willing to break their own transfer record, which is the £85m spent on Darwin Nunez, in order to sign Sane from Bayern Munich.
Sane is currently in his fourth season with Bayern Munich after joining in a £54.8m deal from Manchester City in 2020.
