The police in Katsina State have apprehended two suspected notorious bandit informants.
Their capture was one of the command’s most recent accomplishments in the ongoing fight against all types of crime and criminality in the state.
Based on solid intelligence, the suspects, both males, Mohammed Bello alias Dan Ali of Sabon Gari, Ikara LGA of Kaduna State, and Abubakar Mohammed of Kumbotso LGA of Kano State, were apprehended on July 12 around noon.
The command’s spokesman, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, announced this on Thursday, while bringing the suspects before the Command Headquarters.
According to Sadiq, the two allegedly arranged with Gora, a prominent bandit leader hiding out in the Zamfara forest, and kidnapped their comrade Salmanu after tricking him and luring him to a location between Funtua and Zamfara state.
The command added that during the course of the investigation, the suspects were tracked down, arrested, and confessed to the offence.
