The Kano State Civil Service Commission has granted approval for the promotion of 231 senior officers in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies within the state civil service.
This information was conveyed in a statement by the Director of Public Enlightenment at the Civil Service Commission, Musa Garba, on Friday.
Also, the Chairman of the CSC, Dr. Umar Minjibir, announced these promotions during a recent commission meeting.
In addition to the promotions, the commission also addressed other cases, including 50 cases of approved service transfers, one case of a name change, one case of cadre change, and one disciplinary case.
Minjibir encouraged the affected staff members, particularly those who were promoted and transferred, to reciprocate the government’s support by enhancing their productivity and demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility in fulfilling their duties. This, he emphasized, is crucial for fostering a results-driven civil service within the state.
“I want to enjoin all promoted staff members to reciprocate the gesture by being more dedicated and committed to their duties,” the statement quoted the chairman as saying.
He further urged all civil servants, especially those within the commission, to consistently adhere to the service rules and maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with official matters, as required by their oath of secrecy.
