The Nigeria Police Force has set out a digital skills training program for its personnel to equip them with modern tools and techniques in digital communication.
Daily Post reported that Kano State Police Commissioner, CP Mamman Dauda made this known in a statement made available to journalists.
He explained that training would patner with an independent media company to strengthen their proficiency in modern communication technologies.
According to the statement, ” The digital skills training program is aimed at equipping police personnel with modern tools and techniques in digital communication, social media management, content creation, and data analysis”.
While emphasizing that the program was established to provide participants with practical knowledge and hands-on experience, he noted that it would enable them to effectively communicate with the public, respond to emergencies, create, edit, fact-check and manage social media content for the police command.
” It is believed that by enhancing the digital skills of our police personnel, we can provide better and more effective services to the good people of Kano State,” the CP said.
He called on the participants to pay rapt attention to achieve the set objectives.
