Aribemchukwu, the daughter of Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, was tragically killed in her Parkview Estate home in Ikoyi, Lagos State, on Wednesday morning.
Known affectionately as Chuchu, her body was discovered outside her residence’s gate.
According to The PUNCH, a family member, speaking anonymously due to the family’s current state, revealed, “She was killed last night, and her body was discovered this morning outside the gate of her residence.”
The source suspected new household staff, noting signs of an attempt to clean up blood inside the house and compound.
“It would appear that new household staff might have been responsible and tried to stage as if she was outside when it happened,” the source added.
The staff, employed less than a month, were the only ones present with her.
The source emphasized the need for caution, especially with new hires, “We all need to be super careful.”
Confirming the incident, Spokesperson for the State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said three suspects, all domestic staff, have been arrested.
“Our men have arrested three people in connection to the murder of the daughter of Justice Ajumogobia at her residence in Parkview Estate. One of them is a driver, and the other two are maids,” Hundeyin stated.
He assured that the investigation is ongoing and the public will be informed of further developments.
