A Joint Security Forces, comprising personnel from the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Armed Forces, have apprehended four armed robbery suspects along the Otukpo-Taraku road in Benue State.
The suspects are believed to be part of the group responsible for a daring attack on banks and a police station in Otukpo, Benue State.
Recall that PUNCH METRO reported that the armed robbers attacked a bank in Benue State on Friday killing seven in the process.
According to latest reports, security operatives have arrested suspected individuals who are believed to have carried out the operation.
Late on Saturday night, a police source confirmed this breakthrough and shared a video of the arrested suspects.
The source stated, “Four armed robbers have been arrested by Joint Security Forces along Otukpo-Taraku road, Benue State on Saturday. The robbers are part of those armed robbers who attacked banks and a police station at Otukpo, Benue State yesterday.”
When contacted, the Benue State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Catherine Anene, urged patience, saying, “Please let’s allow them to finish their investigation and report.”
