A 58-year-old female pilgrim from Kano State, Hadiza Ismai’il in Hajj, Saudi Arabia has been confirmed dead.
According to The PUNCH, she died on Monday at around 3:15 pm Saudi local time following a brief illness.
The 58-year-old woman was suffering from a fever when she was transported to NAHCON hospital for treatment. She was later transferred to King Abdulaziz Hospital in Makka, where she was pronounced dead.
She was buried in Makka after a funeral prayer at the Ka’aba Mosque.
While confirming the sad event,Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Laminu Rabiu Danbappa, expressed condolences to the deceased’s family on behalf of the state governor, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest, as well as the family members the strength to bear the loss.
