A joint task force at the Kogi/Ekiti border area have arrested two suspects for holding four victims hostage for some days.
According to Daily Trust, the JTF comprised the military, men of the police, Amotekun Corps and local hunters, under operation Eradicate Bandit at the Borders of Rural Ajoni Communities.
A school principal, two teachers and a nurse were abducted last week, at Irele- Ekiti, in Ajoni Local Council Development Area of Ekiti State.
While three of the abductees were later freed upon payment of a N3 million ransom, one of them reportedly escaped from the abductors.
Apart from nabbing the suspects, the ransom collected from the victims was also recovered.
While speaking with newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Thursday, the Chairman of Ajoni LCDA, Michael Ogungbemi, stated that the suspects were nabbed during a joint operation inside the sprawling forest at the Irele-Kogi border area.
