At least seven persons have reportedly died and others were injured a in road accident that occured on Monday at Kirila village along Birniwa-Malammadori road in Jigawa State.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the Federal Road Safety Corps, Public Relations Officer, Mr Gambo Ibrahim, confirmed this in a Road Traffic Crash report in Dutse.
Gambo Ibrahim disclosed that five people sustained varying degrees of injuries in the crash that occurred at about 1:30 p.m., on Monday.
The FRSC spokesman disclosed that the deceased consisted five males and two females, adding that the victims had been referred to Birniwa General Hospital for medical attention.
Gambo, who could not ascertain the cause of the accident, however, urged road users to refrain from overloading, speeding, and observe traffic regulations.
