A top commander of the Islamic State West Africa Province, Muhammad Malik, has been reportedly killed by men of the Air Task Force in the Lake Chad region.
Malik died on November 29, following the fatal injuries he sustained during an airstrike by the task force.
The Cable reported that Malik was a member of the Shura Council in Marte before going for a course in ISIS-sponsored Computer Engineering and improvised explosive device making in Somalia.
He reportedly established IED training units where fighters were trained in deploying explosives during attacks on his return.
