A Nigerian woman was arrested at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi on Wednesday, November 2, for smuggling heroin worth Rs 30 crore into the country, according to a customs official.
On Monday, October 31, 2022, the accused was apprehended after arriving from Lagos via Doha.
According to the Indian official, four kilogrammes of heroin worth Rs 30 crore was recovered from her possession, concealed inside the cavities of a bag.
He added that the passenger has been arrested and the narcotic had been seized.
However, the person’s identity was not revealed.
