Sevilla FC has significantly bolstered their attacking lineup with the acquisition of Nigerian striker, Kelechi Iheanacho.
The former Leicester City forward joins as a free agent, becoming the club’s second Nigerian signing this transfer window, following Chidera Ejuke’s arrival, also on a free transfer.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the move, stating, “Kelechi Iheanacho landed in Sevilla to sign a two-year deal at the club.”
Romano’s reports indicated that all necessary paperwork is being finalized, and Iheanacho’s official announcement as a Sevilla player is expected shortly.
Iheanacho, formerly with Leicester City, brings extensive experience and versatility to Sevilla’s frontline.
His addition is anticipated to significantly enhance the team’s offensive capabilities as they gear up for the new season.
The 27-year-old signing reflects Sevilla’s strategy of integrating seasoned international talent into their squad.

In another significant transfer development, Romano also reported that Nigerian player Chido Obi Martin has left Arsenal to join Manchester United.
