Former Manchester United and Al Hilal forward, Odion Ighalo has disclosed that he is opened to a move to the Nigerian Premier League.
The Edo born former Nigerian international stated this in an interview with TV host Emmanuel Sebastine.
While giving conditions to play in the Nigerian league he said that he might consider it if his security is assured.
He also added that the quality of the league administration is not factor which he will consider to play in the league.
“I have played in the league before and it would be a great privilege to play in the league before for six months or a year.
“However you don’t want to play and be getting scared of your life because of security or fear for one’s life, I am going to play, I will play not because of money.
“If security is guaranteed, good referee and all, and I can consider”.
Before departing Saudi Arabia,Ighalo was highly instrumental in Al Hilal winning the Saudi league title the outgone season as he scored 19 goals and rendered two assists in 26 appearances.
The Nigerian international also struck the back of the net on 43 occasions and came up with seven other assists in 59 games for the club since joining them last year.
During his stint with Al Hilal, the former Manchester United attacker helped them win the Premier League Championship and played a key role in their King’s Cup and Super Lucille victories.
Ighalo also emerged as the Asian Champions League’s leading goal-scorer, firmly establishing himself among the competition’s leading attackers.
Recall that Ighalo before making his first European move featured for now defunct Nigerian club side, Julius Berger, making 10 appearances, scoring five goals.
