The Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrosheeed Akanbi, is gushing over his new bride, Queen Firdaus Abdullahi Akanbi.
Oluwo got married to Firdaus on Saturday at a ceremony in Kano.
The monarch released beautiful photographs of the new queen with a short message that read, ‘Queen Firdaus of Iwoland’ which accompanied the pictures.
He shared a photo on his official Instagram page with the caption, “We belong together and it starts now with my soul mate that I finally found.”
The invitation to the ceremony released earlier had indicated that Oba Akanbi would wed Princess Firdaus at the residence of the Madakin Kano, Yola Quarters, Kano.
Further details indicated that after the wedding, a reception strictly for ladies would be held at the palace of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Bayero.
Oluwo was once married to Olori Chanel Chin.
