A college student, Noh Huyn-soo ate a $120,000 worth ripe banana affixed to a wall munch a Seoul art gallery, defending himself by stating he was “hungry” after skipping breakfast.
According to The British Broadcasting Corporation, the Leeum Museum of Art, which focuses on traditional Korean art and modern art, recently displayed the iconic “Comedian” by Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan as part of an exhibition named “WE.”
More over a minute of footage shows Noh casually peeling the artwork and savouring his nutritious treat, which was valued at $120,000.
The sated museumgoer quietly reattached the peel to the wall with the artist’s duct tape after munching on the fruit.
When museum staff questioned the student about why he devoured the edible artwork, the student reportedly replied that he had skipped breakfast and was starving.
