Toyin Sokefun-Bello, popularly known as TY Bello, is a well-known photographer who recently spoke up about how she started her career as a song writer and photographer
TY Bello made this disclosure on the newest episode of the I Said What I Said podcast, which is co-hosted by FK and Jola.
“I’ve been creating songs since I was eight, nine, or ten, she said. I began my career in both music and photography simultaneously.”
The singer of “Land is Green,” however, said that she just went to the university to please her mother and had always been creative for as long as she can remember, with her dream goal of becoming a “big hairstylist” after graduation.
“After college, when every student in my class was certain of their career goals, I did not have such a dream. I was totally confused.
“University was the time when I decided to attend classes in order to please my mother. I was then going to graduate and become a successful hairstylist. I imagined that to be my future.
“When the time came for NYSC and everyone was asking where to be assigned, I requested to be posted to the south. I thought, “What should I do?”
“And I think that was the major turning point where I realised I needed to be posted to phototech because I had just started photography,” she said.
