A violent clash has erupted in Araromi-Owu, Ayedaade Local Government, Osun State, over a kingship tussle, resulting in the burning of the Palace of Olowu of Araromi-Owu.
According to TVC, several cars and houses were also set ablaze during the attack, which occurred on Tuesday.
The violence was sparked by an alleged attack on one of the contestants vying for the stool of Olowu of Araromi-Owu.
The State police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola who confirmed the unfortunate incident said Police tactical force and Mobile Force Unit have been mobilized to the area to prevent escalation of the crisis.
