Nigerian culinary sensation, Hilda Baci, has extended her initial record target of 96 hours to 100 hours.
PUNCH METRO reported that Hilda broke the longest cooking marathon record after cooking for more than 87 hours and 45 minutes.
The previous record was set by Indian Chef, Lata Tondon back in 2019.
Recall that with just a few hours remaining before Hilda potentially broke the longstanding record, Lata had reached out to express her support and anticipation for Hilda’s triumph. In a heartfelt message, Lata wrote, “All the best Hilda. Hope to see you on the official site of the Guinness Book Of World Record soon!!!”
Against the initial arrangement to conclude the cooking marathon at 4 pm Nigerian Time, on Monday, Hilda has extended her target to 100 hours.
Based on the latest development, the marathon will now be concluded by 8 pm as she seeks to further solidify her record.
Hilda’s pursuit of this extraordinary feat has captivated the nation, garnering an outpouring of support on social media and among prominent figures in Nigeria.
