Manchester City forward, Erling Haaland won the PFA’s Players’ Player of the Year award for 2023, while Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka took home the trophy for Young Player of the Year.
Haaland defeated now-departed Harry Kane, Kevin de Bruyne and three others to claim the top prize on Tuesday night.
Haaland set a record with 36 league goals and eight assists to help Man City win the English Premier League.
He was also instrumental in the club winning the league, FA Cup, and UEFA Champions League triple.
While, Saka emerged as the recipient of the young player accolade, surpassing Gabriel Martinelli, his fellow teammate at Arsenal.
Saka who represented England at the international level, played a crucial role for Arsenal during the previous season, providing stability and support as they competed closely with reigning champions Manchester City over the majority of the English Premier League campaign.
He achieved a personal best by scoring 15 goals and contributing 15 assists in a total of 38 matches, resulting in the Gunners narrowly falling short of securing the league championship.
