Gunmen have reportedly killed four residents in two Local Government Areas within Benue State.
According to Daily Trust, among these victims, three lost their lives on the Daudu-Ortese road in Guma LGA, while the fourth fatality occurred in Okpokwu Ward in Obi LGA.
In a telephone interview with journalists, Guma LGA Security Adviser, Christopher Waku, said, “They (gunmen) stood on the Daudu-Ortese road. They killed two persons yesterday at about 5pm and shot one person who is receiving treatment at the BSUTH.
“On Friday, they killed one person in the morning hours. All together, they killed three people.”
Police spokeswoman in the state, SP Catherine Anene, did not respond to calls or a text message to confirm the incidents
