No fewer than four persons, including the Benue State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Ekpe Ogbu, were kidnapped on Sunday.
Those kidnapped alongside the commissioner were identified as Honourable Agbo Ode, one of his in-laws, and the driver.
Their abductors were said to have been kidnapped along David Marks Farm, after Akpa Otobi while on their way from Otukpo to Utonkon in Ado Local Government Area of the state.
It was also gathered that his official Hilux vehicle had been recovered by the police in Otukpo.
The Benue State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident on Monday morning.
“Incident confirmed, we are on our way to the area, I will give you more information when we get there,” She said in a terse statement sent to The PUNCH.
