The new Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Gombe State, Samson Kaura has officially assumed his role as the new commander.
According to The PUNCH, Kaura, appointed on July 21, 2024, succeeds Felix Theman, who has been transferred to the Corps National Headquarters in Abuja.
Originally from Tafawa Balewa in Bauchi State, Kaura holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Before this appointment, he served as the Zonal Head of Operations in Bauchi Zonal Command. He was the Corps Commander of Youth Safety Education in the Training Department at the National Headquarters.
In his initial address, Kaura expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the people of Gombe and acknowledged Governor Muhammadu Yahaya for his contributions to making Gombe a peaceful and safe state.
Kaura emphasized the importance of community cooperation in enhancing road safety and achieving a zero per cent road traffic crash rate.
Kaura also called for strengthened collaboration with other security agencies to advance the Corps’ strategic goals and maintain the existing productive relationships.
