The Federal University of Technology Akure has disclosed that it will unveil OPEN and Distance Learning Centre for its Computer Science programme in the institution to expose learners and candidates to innovative harmonized learning approach.
This was disclosed in a statement by the university, adding that distance, the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and age will longer be an impediment to obtaing a B.Sc in Computer Science.
It described tuition as highly affordable and lower than most regular programmes.
FUTA urged candidates to utilise the world class laboratories and computing facilities available, stating that they would be eligible for mobilisation for the National Youth Service Corps programme on graduation before the age of 30 and get the same certificate as regular students.
It pointed out that candidates seeking admission to 100-Level should possess five credits in the SSCE/GCE/NECO, including English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology or Agricultural Science or Economics or any other relevant subject taken in not more than two sittings.
It said that those without JAMB-UTME result can also apply, adding that application form is N20,000.
