The anticipation for the 2023 FIFA FIFPRO World 11 has intensify following the announcement of the men’s and women’s finalists for the prestigious football awards.
A staggering 28,000 professional footballers participated in the voting process to select their team of the year.
Notably, the World 11 stands out as the sole global football award exclusively determined by the votes of professional footballers themselves.
For the FIFA FIFPRO Men’s World 11, the 23 male footballers securing the highest number of votes from their peers for performances spanning from December 19, 2022, to August 20, 2023, emerged as nominees.
Eligible players must have participated in a minimum of 23 official matches within that timeframe.
Conversely, the FIFA FIFPRO Women’s World 11 comprises the 23 leading female footballers who garnered the most votes for their performances from August 1, 2022, to August 20, 2023.
Women’s nominees must have featured in at least 25 official matches during the specified period.
To determine the final World 11 lineup, the goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, and three forwards who accumulated the highest votes will secure spots.
The remaining outfield player with the next highest number of votes will claim the final position in the World 11.
FIFA and FIFPRO are scheduled to unveil the esteemed World 11 lineup during The Best FIFA Football Awards event in London, England, slated for Monday, January 15, 2024.

Over 28,000 professional footballers have voted for their team of the year. The World 11 is the only global football award decided exclusively by professional footballers.
The FIFA FIFPRO Men’s World 11 nominees are the 23 men’s footballers who received the most votes from their peers for their performances from 19 December 2022 to 20 August 2023 inclusive. Players must have appeared in at least 23 official matches during that period.
The FIFA FIFPRO Women’s World 11 nominees are the 23 women’s footballers who received the most votes from their peers for their performances from 1 August 2022 to 20 August 2023 inclusive. Players must have appeared in at least 25 official matches during that period.
