The Federal Road Safety Corps has names Christopher Kuje as new Sector Commander in Rivers State.
According to The PUNCH, spokesperson for the FRSC, Rivers State Command, Juliana Eni, announced this in a statement issued and made available to journalists in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
Kuje took over from Corps Commander Salisu Galadunci who has been transferred to the national headquarters, Abuja.
She said the development followed the recent postings of senior officers in the corps.
The statement said, “Corps Commander Christopher Kuje who is the immediate past Corridor Commander of Benin- Asaba- Awka Corridor, is a seasoned Officer with a track record of promoting the cause of road safety in Nigeria.
“During the course of his sojourn in the FRSC, he has worked in Delta, Benue, Adamawa, Kano, Sokoto states, and the national headquarters, Abuja.”
Speaking with newsmen after taking over the leadership of the state in Port Harcourt, Kuje stressed that his administration would focus on the FRSC visibility, an extensive public enlightenment campaign.
Kuje promised to train staff and drivers and ensure prompt response to rescue and clearance of obstruction, stakeholders collaboration, and forwarding of real and on-time reports of activities.
