The operatives of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority on Saturday rescued four fatal accident victims at Adeniji Adele inward Oyebanji, Lagos Island, Lagos.
This was disclosed in a press release signed and issued by the Director, Public Affairs and Enlightenment department of LASTMA, Adebayo Taofiq.
According to the release, LASTMA’s Oladunni Ademola ‘Zebra’ (Zone 1 Sura) who led the rescue team said that the lone accident involved a Toyota Sienna (MUS 706 EQ).
The four victims comprised of two male and two female adults.
It was gathered that the accident was as a result of over-speeding and brake failure.
The accident victims have been immediately rushed to General Hospital for medical attention.
The release read, “Lastma Ademola disclosed further that prilimnary investigation revealed that the driver was on a top speed and could no longer control the vehicle after noticing the brake failure.
“He confirmed that Lastma Officials rescued 4 victims (2 male and 2 female).
“According to Zebra Ademola
“Immediately after the accident happened, our Officials with support from Police Officers from Adeniji Adele Police Command quickly intervened and rescued these 4 victims.
“Rescued 4 accident victims were immediately rushed to General Hospital for medical attention.
“The General Manager Mr Bolaji Oreagba however enjoined motoring public to be exral careful and always check that their vehicles are always in good condition before embarking on any journey across the State.”
