The founder of the Ileri Oluwa House of Hope Hospital in Ondo State, Mr Hakeem Oyeneyin, has reportedly shut down the facility over a burglary incident.
According to The PUNCH, the hospital was allegedly attacked by hoodlums from the town on Sunday, carting away equipment worth millions of naira.
Oyeneyin who described the incident as disheartening stated that the hoodlums entered the facility through the hospital roof and window.
As a result, Oyeneyin noted that the hospital would be closed until the community could ensure the safety of lives and property.
He apologized to patients for any inconvenience this news may create, and he said that the police had been notified and an investigation was proceeding.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, said the command had commenced an investigation into the incident.
“It was a case of burglary and we have commenced investigation into it,” the PPRO stated.
