In the early hours of Sunday, a fire broke out at the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The blaze reportedly started in an office on the third floor of the hospital’s South West 3 ward, creating confusion among patients and staff in nearby wards.
According to The PUNCH, the Oyo State Fire Service quickly responded to the emergency and is currently working to extinguish the fire.
During the incident, patients and their relatives were seen rushing to safety amid the chaos.
As of the time of this report, UCH management has yet to release an official statement regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
