Fire has reportedly gutted the popular market of Offa people in Kwara State, ‘Owode’ in the early hours of Monday, 2nd April.
This was made known in a video posted @ Ibitoye shittu on his X handle on Monday morning.
While lamenting the ravaging inferno, Shittu noted that the Fire Service claimed they have no water.
“Sad morning in offa Kwara State as popular owode market is currently on fire with millions of properties burnt. Fire service reportedly claimed they have no water,” he wrote.
Property valued at millions of Naira was lost to the inferno, cause of fire yet unknown.
Meanwhile, no official statement has been issued as at the time of filing this report.
When contacted, Kwara State Fire Service, said it was not aware of the incident.
“We are not aware of the incident. We didn’t get any report on that,” it said
