A fire incident broke out on Tuesday and destroyed some parts of the rail station at Marina on Lagos Island, which is part of the multi-billion-naira Lagos State Blue Rail Mass Transportation project.
The fire service, the police and other emergency responders were still at the scene putting out the fire.

“The Blue Rail Mass Transit’s generator ignited the fire at Marina,” he said.
“The Fire Service and police patrol teams are already on the scene to manage the throng and put out the fire, respectively.
“The situation is under control, therefore people have been urged to carry out their legal obligations without becoming alarmed,” he added.
