A fire broke out on a section of the Lagos Blue Line rail track near the Eko Bridge in Apogbon, Lagos State, around 4:12 p.m. on Saturday.
This is according to a statement from Gboyega Akosile, spokesperson for Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
The incident, located opposite the NEPA Station, caused no injuries, and no trains were operating at the time.
Emergency teams swiftly responded, fully extinguishing the flames and securing the area. Akosile assured residents that the situation is under control, encouraging people in the vicinity to proceed with their activities as usual.
