The residence of Katsina State Commissioner of Information and Culture, Bala Zango located in Zangon Daura in the early hours of Saturday was razed by fire.
According to The PUNCH, details surrounding the incident were still unknown as of Saturday afternoon.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Alhaji Musa Rabiu Mahuta however led the management staff in the ministry on a condolence visit to the town to sympathise with the commissioner.
An official who was part of the entourage but who pleaded for anonymity, confirmed the incident.
” You know Iam not supposed to speak on this incident, but the country home completely burnt down, ” the official disclosed on Saturday evening.
The commissioner did not pick his calls and has not responded to the SMS sent to him as at the time of filling this report.
